25 kW Single-Phase
Inverter for Wind & Energy Storage
The Intergrid IG-25-240 inverter uses Silicon Carbide (SiC) FET technology allowing high switching speeds while reducing switching losses to less than 1/10th of conventional IGBT technology. The inverter is designed for both wall-mounted and rack-mounted installation. The inverter uses 1200V switching devices and can operate over an input operating range of 360 to 900 Vdc. This means that it can be used with a simple rectifier input from a wind generator eliminating the need for a front-end dc-dc converter in many applications.

The inverter topology is a standard full bridge. Each half-bridge switches at 25 kHz creating an effective switching frequency of 50 kHz. This and the efficiency of SiC devices makes the inverter significantly smaller and lighter than conventional designs.
